The Directors of Public Health and Directors of Children's services have agreed to take forward a joint programme to improve the health and wellbeing of children and young people (CYP) in Cheshire & Merseyside. A prioritisation event held in March 2017 reviewed a case for change on obesity and self harm, resulting in the decision to progress work on reducing self harm.
A new Case for Change report for self-harm has been published, commissioned by the Directors of Public Health and produced by Liverpool John Moores University. Read the report here
The report includes:
- Description of self-harm and the scale of the problem
- Statistical report on local and national data.
- Rapid literature review
- Conclusions and recommendations
