This included an event last year to mark World Suicide Prevention Day. Communications leads and members of the press were invited to hear a presentation on the topic by Samaritans, as well as hearing from local organisations working to prevent suicide and from Clarke Carlise, ex-professional footballer who has attempted suicide in the past, on his recovery journey.
