This review was led by Hannah Chellaswamy, Deputy Director of Public Health for Sefton and was undertaken at the request of the Cheshire and Merseyside Directors of Public Health, the purpose of which was to look at the cost and quality of current delivery models, with a view to making recommendations on the preferred model(s) of delivery and options for a shared approached to commissioning where appropriate.
An audit tool was developed and issued to the Cheshire and Merseyside health check leads in order to collect information to inform this review. A report outlining the findings and recommendations of the review has been presented to the Directors of Public Health Executive board and the recommendations outlined in the report will now be progressed by the health checks leads group.
